I think they’re tacky; but I love the 1M so much it could have The Donald’s donger printed on the windshield and I’d still drive it.

I’ve never liked them on the paint, but I’m a huge fan of M stripes on the grill.

I don’t really mind them.
But I don’t think you want that on your windsheild...

I’m okay with M stripes on any car with M power.

I kinda like it, they don’t look bad on that. Too bad I didn’t try and convince my dad to get one of those.

I’m not a fan of the gaudy showing of the stripes. Just on the rear M badge, steering wheel, and shift knob.

Only on race cars. No exception

Other than this, typically I’d say no.

Don’t forget the M badge on the floor mats, door sills, and tachometer.

On real M cars, if not overdone, they’re fine. That bumper treatment isn’t too bad. The little ones you often see in the kidney grilles are fine too. Basically, it’s better to be this guy:
Than this guy:

That depends...large stripes are fine on a race car, in my opinion.

Yeah, that’s a valid point.

I do like the fender stripes, but only on pre-e46s. They just don’t work as well on the newer ones. Also, anything from the factory is fair game.

And on the trunk mat, headrests, tire treads, water pump, seat belt release, brake pedal, headlights, glove compartment, alternator, door handles, owners manual, towhook, muffler...

Depends how they’re done. Bumper is a good look and E36 checkered flag is good too.

There’s a guy in my neighborhood with a black one like this.
Except it has “BMW M Power” decals across the windshield.
And the rocker panels.
And the rear bumper.
You could say it’s tacky.

When you get under the car an see the ///M on the forged control arm, it’s actually pretty sweet...

I would only find this tolerable on track cars.
